Bio Oil Reviewed
Thanks for reading my bio oil review article. In this article I propose to investigate the effectiveness of the bio oil product. It has gained a strong reputation in the market and the manufacturer of this product claims that it works well on many skin conditions.
Bio Oil Manufacturer's Claim
In particular, the manufacturer claims that bio oil works on variable skin tones, acne scars, stretch marks and any other type of scarring. It is very important to note however that they only claim this will help reduce the look of the scars or marks. They make no guarantees that it will completely remove them. That is an important consideration when I explain the findings from my own research later in this article.
Various tests and studies have been completed and overall the results are good. I could however only find this type of research and actual case studies from the manufacturer's website. Therefore to bring an element of independence to my own studies, I investigated product reviews at Amazon products and from various related Internet forums.
Results From My Research
The results of my studies would actually support the findings of the case studies that have been completed. That overall opinion would be that when bio oil is used as instructed for the correct period of time, then there are improvements to the visibility of stretch marks, acne scars, uneven skin tone and scarring generally. In some cases, especially with stretch marks under two tears old, many people claimed that they vanished completely.
It is difficult when doing any research to understand fully its implications. There were also people who claimed that bio oil did not work for them, but there was little supporting evidence to understand if they used it as instructed and for the required length of time. It is also impossible to understand what their initial expectations were. That said, to give fairness to my research these claims should be considered. In most cases when this happened, the trend showed that this was with very old scars. They didn't state if it helped reduce the overall look, only that it didn't remove them completely.
Other people stated that although it only partially reduced the scarring but there had been an improvement and that they would continue to use it. The most positive bio oil reviews were for stretch marks and the improvement of uneven skin tones. Acne scars proved more difficult to deal with, but for many there were distinct improvements. My consideration would be that based on this information the impact of applying this oil will either take longer to have an impact, or may not have an impact at all.
One negative underlying trend was that when you applied bio oil it did take at least fifteen minutes for it to dry in. That meant that to apply it as instructed could take up time in your day. The advice given from these users was that they developed a time to apply the oil and then got into this habit.
In summary, my overall opinion in this bio oil review is that if the oil is applied according to the instructions for the appropriate period of time then most users would agree that there was an overall improvement with the treatment.
